Learn more about
Danilo Correale
He is an Italian artist and researcher who lives and works in New York. His work focuses on analyzing aspects of human life in late capitalism, such as work, leisure, and sleep.

His projects employ a wide range of visual and collaborative strategies that emphasize the connection between time and body, associated with contemporary time-related afflictions like fatigue, lethargy, boredom, and immobility. He has defined an artistic research that spans across various media, including photography, installation, video, participatory action, public intervention, and writing.
Danilo Correale's iconic research on sleep, leisure, and the rejection of work represents a continuously expanding source for new artworks and special projects. As a result, the body of work evolves and often adapts to specific commissions and interactions with the public.

Correale earned his MFA in Visual Art and Curatorial Studies at NABA, Milan, Italy, and was awarded a Research Affiliate Fellowship at Columbia University, New York, in 2017.
