About Francesca Moriani
Francesca Moriani is the CEO of Var Group, a leading company in digital services and solutions that supports businesses in their digital transformation journey. Born on March 28, 1977, in Fucecchio (Florence), she is a former ski champion and a mother of two. She earned a degree in Business Administration from the University of Pisa and an MBA in International Management from the University of Brighton.

In 2003, after a few short-term professional experiences, Francesca joined IBM Dublin as Telesales Manager. Between 2004 and 2007, she worked as Credit Manager at Computer Gross, later leading ITF Information Technology Finance, the company’s service unit managing financial solutions.

From 2007 to early 2014, she served as Value Business Manager at Computer Gross, overseeing the entire IBM business—hardware, software, and services. During this time, she was responsible for the Jblue Business Unit, composed of 100 employees across Italy.

Since 2014, Francesca has been CEO of Var Group, a period marked by significant growth. Revenue increased from €154 million to €875.7 million (as of April 30, 2025), while the workforce expanded from 700 to 4,293 employees. Under her leadership, Var Group has become an international company with offices in 16 countries, including Italy, Albania, Andorra, Austria, Benelux, Brazil, France, Germany, India, Mexico, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Tunisia, and the USA.

In 2024, she received the Microsoft Power Women Award. In 2025, she published her first book, Braveship, which reflects both her personal biography and the bold organizational transformation she is leading at Var Group toward an open platform organization model.
