About Francesca Moriani
Francesca Moriani is the CEO of Var Group, a leading company in digital services and solutions that supports businesses in their digital transformation journey. Born on March 28, 1977, in Fucecchio (Florence), she is a former ski champion and a mother of two. She earned a degree in Business Administration from the University of Pisa and an MBA in International Management from the University of Brighton.

In 2003, after a few brief work experiences, Francesca worked as Telesales Manager at IBM Dublin.
Between 2004 and 2007, she held the position of Credit Manager at Computer Gross. She then led the ITF (Information Technology Finance) team, the service unit of Computer Gross Italy that manages financial solutions.
From 2007 until early 2014, still at Computer Gross, she became Value Business Manager, taking responsibility for the entire IBM business, including hardware, software, and services. Jblue, the Business Unit she managed during these years, consisted of 100 employees operating throughout Italy. Since 2014, she has been the CEO of Var Group, a company that experienced significant growth under her leadership—not only in terms of revenue, increasing from €154 million to €875.7 million (as of April 30, 2025), but also in terms of people, growing from 700 to the current 4,293 employees.
Under her guidance, Var Group has become an international company with offices in 16 countries worldwide (Italy, Albania, Andorra, Austria, Benelux, Brazil, France, Germany, India, Mexico, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Tunisia, and the USA). In 2024, she received the Microsoft Power Women Award. In 2025, she published her first book, “Braveship”, a work that synthesizes her biography and the courageous organizational transformation she is leading at Var Group toward a model of open platform organization.
