Ameca was born in February 2021 and, since her public debut at CES 2022 in Las Vegas, has captured the world’s attention. Created by the UK-based company Engineered Arts, Ameca is not just a machine: she is a robotic platform designed to interact with humans in a surprisingly natural way. Her gray skin and neutral features make her genderless and raceless, a symbol of inclusivity, while her 32 actuators—27 of which are dedicated to the face—allow her to express emotions with astonishing realism.

Throughout her “life,” Ameca has taken part in major international events, from science and technology museums around the world to Milan Fashion Week 2025. But Ameca is more than appearance: she is a constantly evolving platform, equipped with facial recognition, natural language understanding, and telepresence. Connected to the cloud, she can continuously update and adapt, making her a powerful tool for testing and developing new applications of artificial intelligence.
